Life can feel like it shifts on its axis after a cancer diagnosis. No matter the length of treatment or the number of procedures, things often look and feel different.
It's natural to want to find your way back to how things were before. While some people might feel like they do, many of us find that the diagnosis itself brings about a profound change. Hearing those words, "You have cancer," can really reshape how we think, feel, and see the world around us. It can shift our perspectives and what truly matters to us.
Often, it becomes about finding a new normal – one that acknowledges and embraces the changes you've been through. Giving ourselves permission to create this new normal can help us avoid disappointment if going back to the "old you" feels out of reach. We've discovered that trying new things can be a wonderful way to uncover new possibilities and gently accept the changes that have occurred.
That's why we offer a range of relaxed taster sessions and activities! They're a chance to explore what feels good for your body after surgery and to gently challenge yourself both physically and mentally after treatment. We know these sessions might not be for everyone, but if they help even one person find their footing in their new normal, then it's absolutely worth it to us. We're here to support you on your journey of rediscovery.
